Piazza della Repubblica

Piazza della Repubblica, Treia

Piazza della Repubblica (Republic Square) opens onto a panoramic balcony of immense proportions, consisting of a horseshoe-shaped marble balustrade, the work of Andrea Vici, in the center of which you can admire the monument to Pius VI, raised in 1785 in honor of the Pope who acquired great merits among the people of Treia.

It is a natural amphitheater from where it is possible to admire the whole Marche region.

It is structured with the driveway at a lower level and surrounded by graceful buildings.

It is considered the center of Treia’s life.

On the other three sides there are: the Church of San Filippo with an adjoining convent, the Town Hall and the Georgic Academy.
