It starts from the Market Square and proceeds towards the state road towards Taccoli, upon arriving at the archaeological area, we leave the paved road to enter the suggestive area of Col Martino with beautiful views of the city and the surrounding countryside.
We proceed by secondary roads up to the hamlet of Granali and after a few ups and downs we will find ourselves facing a short but steep stretch of road, however the effort will be rewarded by the complete immersion in the countryside and surrounding hills. At a certain point we will find ourselves going up a dirt road with the Castello di Pitino in front of us. Resuming the asphalted road you start to climb towards the tower that you will reach after a steep climb, and if you are not trained enough you will need to push for a few hundred meters.
Once reached the Castle of Pitino you will walk a circular route around it with breathtaking 360 ° views, the Sibillini Mountains stand out in front of you and on clear days the Monti della Laga and Gran Sasso will also be visible. Towards the East, the slope of the rolling hills of the Marche will make your gaze sweep up to the Adriatic Sea.
After completing the loop, you will descend towards the hamlet of Cesolo and then return to the starting point.
