The departure point is located at the back of the church of San Pacifico, to the left of a house where it is possible to park.

After a few meters you pass a picnic area and go up a dust-free road until you intersect a larger asphalted road (there are two large oaks on the right).

Continue to the right until you reach a stone house, opposite to which you take a smaller road that after about 300 meters, near a house, turns right to continue slightly uphill until it intersects with another dirt road and then a waterworks cabin.

Continue on the left following the white-red signs on the main road, skirting a fence for a small stride, after which the road becomes more bumpy, rapidly gaining altitude and reaching a crossroads.

The uphill branch will lead us without further detours, after first crossing a very thick field of broom then a pine forest that is now on the left and now on the right of the road, to the last sign indicating the “Earthquake Pit” (Buca del Terremoto).

Following the signs, you cross the end of at times cultivated field, until you reach the entrance of a short marked path in the woods that suddenly leads to the suggestive Earthquake pit.
