Tangani Fortress was built in the 14th century by the lords of Salmaregia, nicknamed ”Tangani” or ”Tanghi” from the tool used to throw the stones: ”tango”. For this reason the fortress bears their name.
From the 17th century, the fortress began to fall apart and now only a few parts of walls are kept deep in the woods.
