The modern Church of St. Anna was built between 1960 and 1965 in the new district of Frontale, a hamlet of Apiro, after a decision taken by the inhabitants who wanted to build their new houses far from the first village that crumbled because of an earthquake.
A beautiful detail of the church is the image made of majolica on the facade, representing St. Anna and the Virgin with an angel.
Beside the church is located a modern bell tower made of steel.
