It is one of the oldest churches in Matelica.
Dating back to the 13th century, it was the limit to the expansion of the city.
The beautiful Gothic portal is the only element that survived the subsequent demolitions, above which a 16th-century loggia opens and behind all this unfolds the refined and elegant 18th-century organism.
Inside you can appreciate beautiful stuccos. The Church has three Latin cross naves on which an elegant dome rests. In the aisles there are eight altars in addition to the two of the cruises. Role of pre-eminence, within the provision of the Pictorial patrimony of the Church, has been attributed to the works of Ercole Ramazzani.
