The temple’s structure dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. It exhibits an ancient and venerated wooden Crucifix, and of particular value are the wooden embellishment of the high altar made in 1750 by carvers Francesco and Gaetano Gentili.

Colpersito is a place full of Franciscan memories: it was here that St. Francis converted the famous troubadour William, the “king of verses”.
